間違えやすい自動詞と他動詞

TOEICで自動詞（intransitive verb）か他動詞（transitive verb）かを区別する問題はPart5でよく出題されてます。今回のブログでは間違えやすい自動詞と他動詞をまとめてみます。

自動詞と他動詞の例

自動詞は目的語を持つために、前置詞が必要です。一方で、他動詞の場合は、前置詞なしですぐ後ろに目的語を率いることが出来ます。

意味	自動詞＋前置詞＋目的語	他動詞＋目的語

Q. The CEO was requested to ------ for the unexpected decrease in sales.

答えは、B。explainは他動詞。「account for」は説明するという意味。
